Nobody WANTS Ultraviolet. This is just studio greed screwing over customers they don't care about past how much money they can wring out of them. Back when it was all iTunes/Windows Codes, it was confusing enough... but at least they were offering digital copies in formats that consumers already were familiar with. Ultraviolet is a disaster that doesn't work... EVEN IF YOU UNDERSTAND THE TECHNOLOGY. But studios just don't care. And why should they? Consumer sheep just keep buying their crap.

The current HDMI boxes from Comcast/Xfinity not only take you out of a show you were watching on the DVR after an Amber Alert, but also sometimes reboot the boxes. As for the savior -- we're talking non cable DVRs like DirecTV, TiVO and Dish.

Reboot after an Amber Alert or Emergency Broadcast test? What DVR are you using? That's never happened on any of the DVRs I've owned (four TiVos and two Comcast).

So what are our "rescuers"? You don't mention them or link to them at all.
